It’s that crazy time of year that we have all been waiting for.  No not the craziness of Black Friday.  It’s Snocross season and it all begins today in Duluth, MN.  This is the first ISOC Amsoil National Championship race of the ‘13-’14 season.  So forget about squabbling over those big box sales and enjoy some good ol’ fashioned two stroke smoke instead. The races are taking place all weekend long at Spirit Mountain Ski Resort in Duluth.  Every year, the series kicks off here and there are always good races to watch.  Most of the racers have had very limited time on the snow for the year, so this is where everyone really finds out where they stand.  The unpredictability of the first race of the […]

Our address is changing, but we’re not moving.  Taking effect on Dec. 2, the street that we are located on will change from South Field Ave. to Frandsen Ave.  Many of you are probably thinking, “What’s the big deal about that?”  For Dennis Kirk, though, the Frandsen name is historically significant.  Our namesake comes from the local entrepreneur, Dennis Frandsen, who was the original founder of Dennis Kirk. Frandsen has many business ventures in the area and continues his entrepreneurial ways even though he sold Dennis Kirk in 1977.  Renaming the street after him is Rush City’s way of recognizing his hard work and thanking him for bringing so many jobs to our small town.  For more history check out this past post. So long story short, if […]

For anyone who has ever wanted to be a part of a revolutionary snowmobile film, here is your chance.  Hybrid Color Films currently has a Kickstarter campaign running to help fund the production of their film, Winter Project | An Alaskan Backcountry Documentary.  The Kickstarter campaign only has 3 days left to hit their goal of $140,000.  As this is being written, they are at $132,774, so they could use your help. Why is this film different?  The traditional backcountry snowmobile films like the Braaap and Slednecks series have been pushing the boundaries and limits of snowmobiling for over a decade now.  They continue to show breathtaking scenery combined with unbelievable riding from the world’s most daring riders.  But, there is one thing that they do not […]

Winter is here and it can be hard to relax when every time you walk outside your beard grows a snotsickle.  Who needs it?  I personally cannot think of any better way to relax this winter than by going on a cruise to the Bahamas.  Dennis Kirk and the 93X Ultimate XGirl Search are giving you the opportunity to win a 7 day cruise for two in the Bahamas aboard the “Norwegian Pearl”. Oh, I know what you’re thinking, “Well, the winner probably has to do all sorts of stupid stuff to win, so I won’t enter.” Stop right there, my friend.  This contest could not be any easier.  All that you have to do is go to our sweepstakes page and enter your contact information before […]
