Sometimes the best just keep getting better.  Such is the case with the Alpinestars Tech 10 boots.  The Tech 10’s have been at the top of motocross boot food chain for a while now.  With other brands like Gaerne and Fox right up there with them, Alpinestars didn’t rest on their laurels and have made the Tech 10 boots even better, not only in performance but in appearance as well. One way that Alpinestars was able to make the Tech 10 boots even better is by taking feedback from one the greatest MX riders in the world right now.  Ryan Villopoto has worn the Tech 10’s throughout his career, which includes 3 Supercross titles and 5 Outdoor Championships.  With a record like that, Alpinestars was smart to […]

Continuously Variable Tuning.  That’s what the CVT stands for in the Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro CVT fuel management system.  What is Continuously Variable Tuning, you ask?  Well, it might be the best thing in EFI motorcycle tuning. With CVT technology, the new PowrPro is continuously reading and changing the EFI delivery of your motorcycle, no matter what load it’s under and what the conditions are.  The changes are instantaneous.  In fact, whenever you open the throttle, the PowrPro will read the EFI delivery at a rate of up to 80 times per second!  This quick reading allows the PowrPro to instantly change and optimize the air/fuel ratio. Another benefit is that you no longer have to deal with all of those different fuel maps.  With other systems, you have […]

Yes you read that correctly and no it’s not some big elaborate joke.  Harley-Davidson’s “Project LiveWire” is the real deal as they throw their hat in the ring of electric motorcycles. This morning, Harley made possibly their biggest announcement to date with the introduction of their first electric motorcycle.  The LiveWire ditched the classic V-Twin that Harley riders have grown to love and replaced it with an AC Induction electric motor for their latest creation. If you’re a spur of the moment buyer and just have to have this thing right now… well, you can’t.  At least not yet.  The LiveWire currently is not a production bike.  It seems as though Harley is testing the waters with the idea of an electric motorcycle being in their lineup.  Some […]

When the topic of dirt bike exhaust comes up, we often jump to talking about the muffler or silencer of the system.  That’s the “sexy” end of the exhaust.  For a long time that thinking was rightfully justified.  Riders would see outstanding gains with switching out the stock muffler, whether it was from performance, weight, looks or all three.  Now, the introduction of the FMF Megabomb is changing the tune of many riders and they are starting to talk about the performance gains from their headers instead. The new patented design of the Megabomb header is completely revolutionary in the world of dirt bike exhaust.  The expansion chamber on this head pipe may actually remind you of the FMF Powerbomb.  This is because the Megabomb’s design is derived from […]
